A North Carolina has pleaded guilty artisan pregnant former Food Network Star contestant and her husband in 2015, PEOPLE confirms.
On Thursday, the 37-year-Robert Jason Owens admitted in court to killing Cristie Schoen Codd, her husband, JT Codd, and daughter of their unborn, Skylar, in what authorities called a "murder most disturbing in history of the [local]. "
Owens, who was in the midst of disposing of the bodies when he was arrested in 2015, pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree murder and two counts of dismembering the remains, according to authorities.
He will spend 59 and a half to 74 and a half years in prison. He is no longer facing the death penalty as part of the request.

Codds reported missing from their home in Leicester, North Carolina, on March 15, 2015, by concerned family members. The next day, investigators found the remains of them after receiving a tip.
Christie, 38, is catering film set with some credit as an actress and stuntwoman, and JT, 45, working behind the scenes in the film and TV as a handle. (Cristie appeared on season eight of Food Network Star, in 2012.)
The couple had bought 36 acres outside of Asheville, North Carolina, according to friends, and work towards creating a self-sufficient farm to support the eventual goal they opened a cafe farm to table.
