13 weeks pregnant | Symptoms, tips and more | Today's Parentbreastfeeding for infants. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Health Promotion Board (HPB) recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life. Unnecessary introduction of bottle feeding or other food and beverage will have a negative impact on breastfeeding. At about the age of six months (but not before 4 months), infants should receive nutritionally adequate and age-appropriate complementary foods while breastfeeding continues up to two years or more. Consult with your doctor before deciding to use infant formula or if you have difficulty breastfeeding.
Abbott Singapore fully recognizes the primacy, the value of the milk and the advantages and support exclusive breastfeeding as recommended by WHO.

HPB recommends that infants ranging in age-appropriate complementary foods around 6 months, while continuing to breastfeed up to two years or beyond to meet their nutritional needs evolve. If there is no longer breastfeeding, infants can switch to full cream milk after 12 months. It must be equipped with a good variety of solid foods from the four main food groups (fruits, vegetables, grains, meat and alternatives).
