Anyone else have this happen?
I went to lunch today with some friends and had a very normal size. Grant, the Italian food. But it is not several troughs of food you get at some places. I do not load up on bread before either. At the end of the meal I felt so very doll. And then the food continued to sit there for what felt like forever. I felt like if I tried I could just go to the bathroom and thrown quite easy (part of me would like me). When I got home I had zero desire to eat, so I basically skipped dinner (I nibbled a bit DH when we go out). Now, at 2:00, I was starving. WTF? This is not the first time this has happened. I know that the hormones of pregnancy can disrupt your digestive function, but this is ridiculous.
Did I mention that I am very F-ING ill feeling like crap ?!
all I can say is tooooooo meee.
but I never went hungry. Well, I detect hunger sometimes, but I never really felt good enough to do much about it because I'm usually sick and hungry at the same time and mixed signals.
Ugh, sorry to hear it. Ya know, I've lived for almost 9 years with Crohn's disease and I think I am quite experienced when it comes to funky digestive tract. This experience has put on a whole other level.
I hate it too! food tasted like it was just sitting there too. Then you do not want to eat at normal times. This is killing me !! Plus DH (dear husband) sure I did not eat enough because I was never ready for dinner at a decent time.
MEE TOOOO !!! We ate dinner last night at around 06:30, and I STILL can feel it! Like you, I do not eat much. I get filled up so quickly, and it just sits there. Gross ... Oh, and the part about going and vomiting, right there with you!
I can not eat regular meals without feeling like I swallowed a large rock. So I have switched to eating three small meals a day, with a granola bar or a piece of fruit in between. That the only thing that worked for me.
I ended up eating a bagel at 2:30 in the morning since I went up to about 4. The last time I ate at 2:30 am a lot of drinking involved and I in some greasy spoon in town
a stone, it's a great way to describe it.
Lunch is not my friend ... during the last 2 weeks I'll have lunch @ work ... when I got home I had to throw the juice to be able to sleep @ nite. ..sucks: (
I agree and have the same thing happen! I just could not eat like I used to. It felt as if my stomach has actually been getting smaller or something. I had a recent incident with mac & cheese that I will not fully go into, but the basics are actually not just sit in my stomach and I ended up getting sick ... hours later ... and it looks as if I do not chew bites. So damn dirty. I see if I eat normal food I could not eat anything else the rest of the day ... can not wait to feel "normal" again.
This is what I call "no room at the inn" feeling. I have had with all my pregnancies. And for me it just gets worse. The only thing that helps me is to never let myself get hungry (it's easier when the nausea was gone) and to stop eating long before I get full. However, once I submit it's all gone. And to be able to eat as much as I want is just heaven!
Oh, me too! The food is just sitting there, causing belching human size with all indigestion. And then I would suddenly switch from feeling like I just ate a cow to ravenously hungry. I even woke up in the middle of the night with hunger.
I agree that I am well and truly be felt nausea and fatigue -. 6 weeks of dense morning sickness and calculate
I think the strength of my husband's sympathy wears a bit thin as I felt so bad every day - he did not even bother to ask how I was after I vomited again < p> Let's hope relief is in sight for us all !. I see a lot of women in this post is about 12 weeks, such as myself. But Cosmo and Kayla, sorry to hear you're still sore in the second tri!
