Morning sickness is one of the biggest signs you are in the first trimester of your pregnancy. However, women using certain contraceptives or those who undergo hormone replacement therapy may experience the same symptoms as well. Although very common, not as inevitable as people might think and can be managed either by sneaking food to morning sickness into your daily diet. Morning sickness solution is as unique as the pregnancy itself and while the food can significantly reduce symptoms for some, may not be the case for others.
The study speculated that may be caused by changes in the body caused by pregnancy. During the first three months, pregnant women experience increased levels of a hormone called progesterone. This hormone is believed to cause stomach acid to reflux and lead to vomiting and nausea. Some experts claim that hypoglycemia is the culprit while others argue that a pregnant woman develops sensitivity to different smells. Another school of thought believes that the symptoms of morning sickness is a natural way to remove the contaminated substances from the body to protect the mother and baby.
The most common are nausea and vomiting. Symptoms may also include changes in urine color, accelerated heart rate, inability to swallow and digest liquids and feeling dizzy when standing up.
As mentioned earlier, different foods work for different women. However, food is the most recommended for morning sickness that help you manage symptoms including dry foods such as biscuits, bread, biscuits and cereal first thing in the morning. This is not necessarily because of their nutritional value. Most women find this food becomes easier to eat when they wake up in order to avoid an empty stomach and get an energy boost for the day.
also known as an effective remedy for nausea. You can cut small cubes to take with tea or hot water when you wake up. Many find the scent of ginger and duration of therapy as well. Make sure you consume in small doses because too much can cause digestive problems.
The fluid is essential during pregnancy and staying hydrated will counteract many of the symptoms. Because many pregnant women tend to be impervious to liquids, it is recommended to drink in small amounts throughout the day. Peppermint tea and tea with lemon can also offer assistance. If you want to juice but can not stomach a full glass, sucking on popsicles should do the trick.
Since sensitivity to smell and taste may develop, the ideal food for morning sickness include cold and bland tasting food. Fruits, vegetables and plain soup might prevent vomiting.
What are the worst foods for morning sickness?
Some experts advise pregnant women to avoid acidic foods such as oranges and tomatoes, whole or juiced. Caffeine is also another culprit, along with fried foods and anything containing too much sugar such as sodas and sugary desserts.
